Venues for a civil ceremony include the Fortezza di Marciana or the cloister of Palazzo De Lauger, in the old town of Portoferraio and either offers a fitting place for this official moment. (The Cathedral in the historic centre of Portoferraio is also a beautiful setting). To experience the sea in all its intensity, boutique Hotel Ilio organises romantic cruises around the Island of Elba on board a classic yacht, where celebration drinks are served and from where the beauty of the island with its long white beaches, the unspoilt coastline, the sea depths of Caribbean-like colours and a natural landscape dominated by the mountains can be admired. Waiting for your return, the wedding reception banquet served on the splendid terrace of Boutique Hotel Ilio, set in the natural day-time beauty of the gardens or, as evening approaches, with the enchanting play of light of sunset. Welcome cocktail and aperitif at the bar before tasting the haute cuisine of Chef Giancarlo Pollidini, with his starters, canapés and dishes of the freshest fish and customised menus.
