Ferry

Maritime connections with the island of Elba are provided by four companies, Corsica Ferries, Moby Lines, Toremar and Blunavy, on the Piombino Marittima-Portoferraio (Elba) route. During high season, there is a ferry crossing every half-hour. We advise you book your crossing in advance, especially if coming by car. Tickets can also be purchased from the ferry terminal, a short walk from the railway station (if your luggage is not too heavy). Depending on the route, the crossing takes between 30 and 60 minutes. At the entrance to the arrival port, you will be welcomed by the Medici fortifications overlooking the beautiful bay of Portoferraio.
